The Central Virginia Chapter annually award the MOAA ROTC Medal to Cadets and Midshipment from local ROTC and JROTC units. The purpose of the MOAA ROTC medal is to recognize an outstanding ROTC cadet/midshipman or JROTC cadet in their next-to-last year in the program, who shows exceptional potential for military leadership.
